Off to Mexico it is at Sedona's annual Fiesta del Tlaquepaque festival. Tlaquepaque arts and crafts village celebrates Mexican Independence Day with flower-adorned streets full of the lingering aromas of delicious food. Highlights include flamenco dancers and arts vendors.

Sedona Plein Air Festival — 23 - 30 Oct 2010 (annual)

Sedona

The unique and arid beauty of Arizona is celebrated at the annual Sedona Plein Air Festival. The festival welcomes around 30 leading artists who gather for a week to create landscapes in the great outdoors.

Red Rocks Music Festival — Aug - Sep 2011 (annual)

Sedona

The Red Rocks Music Festival, which marks the end of the hot Arizona summer, takes place in venues around Sedona. It is the most important chamber and orchestral music festival in the state, attracting leading orchestras from around the country.

State of the Art — 24 - 25 Sep 2010 (annual)

Tlaquepaque

Art shows, demonstrations and one-on-one time with national award-winning artists are a few of the events held at the annual State of the Art. The two-day event is hosted by many of Tlaquepaque's art institutions including the El Prado Gallery.

To promote and fund the local arts scene, the Sedona Arts Festival organises this annual celebration at the Sedona Red Rock High School. The event features live entertainment, a kids' corner and a market with over 100 artists.


Festival of Trees at Tlaquepaque — 26 Nov - 5 Dec 2010 (annual)

Too busy to decorate your tree? Visit the Festival of Trees at Tlaquepaque where artists and galleries adorn Christmas trees. The trees, displayed on the Terrace at Patio del Norte for ten days, are then auctioned to benefit local charities.


Sedona International Film Festival — 20 - 27 Feb 2011 (annual)

Harkins Sedona 6 Theatres

Both independent movies and blockbusters are screened at the annual juried Sedona International Film Festival. The week-long event welcomes producers, directors, screenwriters and actors to the Harkins Sedona 6 Theatres and features workshops, parties, lectures and plenty more.


Sedona Bluegrass Festival — 8 - 12 May 2011 (annual)

Banjos, fiddles and mandolins accompany heart-warming vocals at the annual Sedona Bluegrass Festival. Held at Sedona's Los Abrigados Resort & Spa, the festival digs deep into American roots to stage five days of the finest bluegrass music.

The annual three-day Moonlight Madness Festival hits Sedona once again, bringing with it a programme of live music, shopping, food, a beer garden and plenty of activities to keep the children happy. Sidewalk sales and entertainment continue all day.

Around 100 feature films have been filmed in Sedona over the years. This and many other bits of information are available at Sedona Hertiage Musuem. The museum also uses events alongside permanent and travelling exhibits to educate people about Sedona.
