L’AUBERGE DE SEDONA NAMED ONE OF THE
“TOP 100 BEST MAINLAND U.S. HOTELS” BY CONDÉ NAST TRAVELER
MAGAZINE
SEDONA, Ariz. – November 2006 – L’Auberge de Sedona
Resort and Spa, the intimate, creekside retreat was awarded one of the
“Top 100 Best Mainland U.S. Hotels” in the 19th annual Condé
Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards, which was revealed in the
November 2006 issue.
The results are derived from the largest independent poll of consumers’
preferences. More than 21,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers voted
this year for their favorite hotels, cruises, airlines, islands and cities,
which helped comprise the overall ratings each property received. L’Auberge
de Sedona is the only Sedona hotel or resort to
be included in the “Top 100 Mainland U.S. Hotels” category.
Questionnaires sent to readers contained lists of candidates for each
category and space was available for write-ins. Only nominees that received
a required minimum number of responses were deemed eligible for an award.
Each candidate was rated, criterion by criterion, as excellent, very good,
good, fair or poor. Criterion scores, which represent the percentage of
respondents rating a candidate excellent or very good, were averaged to
determine the final score.
Criterion for hotels included a rating for rooms, service, food/dining,
location and overall design. L’Auberge de Sedona received an overall
score of 87.4.
“We are thrilled to be included on such a prestigious list,”
said Joe Mottershead, general manager for L’Auberge de Sedona. “It
is an honor that our former guests hold us in such high esteem, and we
thank everyone who voted for L’Auberge.”
